Our final dispatch for 2025 - also my customary end of year moment of indulgence and gratitude for what's been, and excitement for what's to come. 2025 felt like speeding down the Autobahn in a torrential downpour- not just for watches and MING, but for the world at large. Through all the uncertainty, we've continued to grow, welcome new friends to our growing community and bring to life ideas and projects that excite us and push new boundaries.
Our focus this year was bringing MING offline - from building our retail partner network to hosting our largest-ever calendar of events and shows. I've lost track of the flights, airports and hotel roomsI've called home this year, but I’ll never forget the enthusiasm, conversations and support from everyone who took time out of their day to come geek out over watches with me and the team.
Those of you who've just joined us might think that, between a packed event schedule and economic turbulence, we'd take it easy on launches and product development. Those who've been with us for a while know we're far too masochistic to make a smart decision like that. Over the last 12 months, we've expanded our core collection, introduced a new design language, birthed a whole new genre of product, pushed the limits of laser milling, concluded our first horological omakase and so much more.
As I've always said - and will keep saying - launches and product development don't happen in a vacuum. Our crazy dreams are only possible because of your support, and boy, did you all show up this year. Thank you for keeping this adventure and dream alive!
And keep it alive we will. I've spent the past week sharing our 2026 plans with our retail partners, and the excitement is palpable. We have collaborations with artists and artisans, Lightning on a dial, the return of the Iris Phoenix, a meeting with a Phantom, a journey through the Starfield, perhaps even a Peepshow, and more. We'll explore new case materials, new complications, new genres and new movements.
One final note on the launch calendar: we’ll restock one final batch of the Bluefin and Uni in January. Once these watches are sold out, they’ll be retired permanently.
Our event schedule for next year will be even larger, with stops in new cities and countries. As much as I would love to be at every single event, that would be impossible. I'm excited, however, as this means you will get the chance to meet more of Team MING - like Nida and Jason.
We also moved to a new e-commerce system this year, which among other things brought back the cart function and introduced user accounts. We'll keep building on this, including integrating ownership and warranty information into your account dashboard. We’re also updating our terms and conditions, effective 1 January 2026. The new terms are now live on our website - please take a moment to review the changes to our shipping policy and return terms.
On the topic of changes to our terms and conditions, I'd like to talk about pricing. Aside from the 17.03 in 2018, we’ve never increased prices on our watches to date. In fact, the 37.09 Bluefin will remain at CHF 4,950 despite being in its third production year and inflation having a material impact on costs.
As many of our American customers will know, we absorbed a vast majority of the tariff costs this year. It wasn’t sustainable, but we chose not to act hastily. We made the conscious choice to absorb the additional cost in the immediate term to give policy makers time to figure things out.
MT and I share strong beliefs around fair pricing - and we do everything possible to optimise our production and operations to avoid price increases. This is always balanced against our responsibility – to you and our team – to ensure the brand grows sustainably. So, in 2026, pricing adjustments will be unavoidable. I'd like to provide all of you with as much advance notice as we can. The changes to expect next year are:
Finally, a quick operational note- our office will be closed from 20 December 2025 to 5 January 2026 as our team and partners take a well-earned break. Our website will remain open for orders, but shipping and all communication (including emails, enquiries and DMs) will resume from 6 January 2026 onwards.
Thank you again for the year that's been - happy holidays and best wishes for 2026!
