Horologer MING - Watches by MING

MING/ Journal: May 2025

May flew by so quickly we nearly missed our monthly Journal. We started the month in Singapore and Hong Kong hosting a trunk show with the Alternative Horological Alliance (AHA) - thank you to everyone who made it out see us, and to our friends at The Armoury and Delugs for hosting us!

For our friends and supporters in Los Angeles, we have some exciting news: MING will be at Open House, a showcase for independent watchmaking by Collective Horology. The event in on June 7 and we will have our entire collection (and maybe even some special, rarely seen watches). A few lucky guests will also get to go home with a copy of our book, or one of our travel cases. See below for more details and to RSVP.

We went on to introduce our newest worldtimer - the 29.01 Midnight. Expanding our popular 29-series, the Midnight builds on an idea for a stealthier worldtime that MT and Praneeth had discussed during the launch of the original. If you missed the news, you can find out more about the Midnight here or read the hands on impressions over at Fratello Watches and Hodinkee.

A timely update on the strap front - our White and Mango FKM Rubber Straps are back in stock! These are perfect for your summer wardrobe and travel plans.

Finally, a bit of academically rigorous levity as Kurzgesagt answers “How many jellyfish it takes to power Tokyo?” and “What if it rained bananas for a whole day?“.

Until next month,

Team MING
