We wanted to celebrate our 8th birthday with something special. Something that we feel celebrates and highlights an adventure with 8,000 friends and collectors, 15,000+ watches (over 75+ references), countless memories, and continued evolution.
A watch that debuts a new design language, a new case family with complex and downright cool lugs, an insane dial and our favourite complication (but in left hand drive flavour) feels appropriately special - so we’d like to introduce you to the MING 57.04 Iris.
Iris debuts our 5th generation design language - a modern take on Art Deco that is sculptural, bold, and unapologetic. This restrained ornamentation and visual presence is best exemplified by our new stepped lugs. It required clever engineering, considered design and a willing production partner to achieve this unique, nested effect with crisply defined and differentiated finishing on each surface.
The case is only outdone by the dial - a mesmerising, deeply dished, and fluted piece with a multiphasic colour shift treatment that makes the colour impossible to define and in a constantly dynamic state between turquoise, purple and all the shades of blue in between.
The Iris is a limited edition of 100 watches that will be available to order tomorrow - 26 August at 1PM GMT at www.ming.watch or from our authorised retail partners.
