Other ways of discovering the Series 5:
We start our monthly update with a minor rebrand - MING/ Journal is now MING/ Dispatches.
June also means the advent of summer, and we welcomed long days and sunny skies with our latest Special Project: the 20.01 Series 5. Inspired by science fiction, it showcases an intricate, complex and awesome dial. You can read hands on impressions at Fratello or check out this video from Monochrome Watches.
Together with Collective Horology, we’d like to thank everyone who showed up to Open House in Los Angeles this month. Congratulations to the winners of our giveaway, and to the new owners who are currently enjoying their new MINGs. You can find Collective’s recap of the day here.
Our latest watch, the 29.01 Midnight is the stealthier, subtler alter ego of our popular Worldtimer - the Batman to Bruce Wayne if you will. Whether you’re on a covert mission, a solo pilot on a polar route, late for that rendezvous with a paramour or just a plain ol’ insomniac, the Midnight is for you.
The 29-series case showcases some of the best of Ming Thein’s case design and engineering - from the flying blade lugs to the bezel free, deep box sapphire crystal which all come together into one seamless, sculptural piece: and for the first time in DLC-coated grade 5 titanium.
This exercise in seamless transitions extends to the dials, yes two of them - the first is a rotating metal dial that carries the 24-hour markers which is overlaid by a sapphire dial that carries the city ring in luminous-ceramic filled and laser engraved channels.
May flew by so quickly we nearly missed our monthly Journal. We started the month in Singapore and Hong Kong hosting a trunk show with the Alternative Horological Alliance (AHA) - thank you to everyone who made it out see us, and to our friends at The Armoury and Delugs for hosting us!

Earlier this week, we welcomed Massena LAB and Fears Watch Company to The Alternative Horological Alliance (AHA). One of the aims of our collaboration is to make it easier for the watch community to experience our unique, individual expressions of watchmaking. To that end and to celebrate the friends and community that make watches special, the AHA will be hosting events in Singapore and Hong Kong. Join us to discover new watches (and more), meet the people behind the brands and make some new friends. Our first stop will be in Singapore, where our friends at Delugs will be hosting us at their brand new boutique:
